Witches Falls newest releases - Wild Ferment Chardonny and Wild Ferment Pinot Noir - Nov 2017
Two perfect wines to accompany a Queensland summer day! Witches Falls Winery's sophisticated 2017 Wild Ferment Chardonnay is subtly oaked and comes with the following tasting notes: "Honeydew melon & pear with a toasted vanilla pod on the nose lead to a rich, beautifully structured, full-bodied wine with a long & complex finish". Their very smooth Wild Ferment Pinot Noir is hot off the press having been bottled a week ago and is described as: "The savoury nose of this elegant wine shows aromas of strawberries and glacé cherries while fine tannins carry the mouth filling palate".

Heritage Estate's newest release - Granite Belt Pinot Gris - Aug 2017
A perfect wine to accompany a sunny Queensland day! Heritage Estate's 2016 Granite Belt Pinot Gris has been awarded 95 points by James Halliday helping to retain Heritage Estate's 5 star status. Well done to hard working owners Bryce & Paddy Kassulke and their winemaker, John Handy!

Matching wine with chocolate at Witches Falls Winery - Jul 2017
What better way to enjoy Witches Falls Winery's excellent Granite Belt Merlot with quality dark Swiss chocolate! Thanks for the tip Peter - my guests loved the combo! It's a thumbs up.

Tamborine Mountain update
Grapes are growing - look at the difference 6 weeks makes! Nov 2017

Blossoms are blooming and vines are sprouting new growth! Sep 2017
Tamborine Mountain is blooming beautiful at this time of the year! Pretty blossoms abound, vineyards are sprouting fresh new green growth, bees are buzzing busily and birds are chirping prettily! It's a great time of the year to visit.

Some scenic highlights on Tamborine Mountain
Water flowing at Cedar Creek Falls and quests swimming in the gorgeous rock pools
This is a great site. You can view the waterfalls from above and also walk down to the rock pools below the waterfall. It's a very easy descent to the Cedar Creek rock pools on a sealed pathway. Two of my guests recently went for a an invigorating swim on the rock pools and loved it! They weren't alone!

Water flowing at Curtis Falls - beautiful surrounds
The water is flowing after recent rainfall with both Cedar Creek and Curtis Falls worth a visit! You will need shoes you don't mind getting muddy to walk the very manageable track down to Curtis Falls. The walk itself through the rainforest is great, giving you that real rainforest feel.

A hidden gem - the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens
Love this place. The obvious care and love shown in looking after these gardens together with it's beauty and the feel of being in touch with nature makes the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens a very special place. There is so much to see and much to contemplate! These photos taken yesterday don't provide the full story - the birds singing, the feeling of natural beauty around you, the ambience and the serenity.

I have been a practising ceramic artist for the past 34 years. I commenced my initial training as a studio potter with Brother William at the Franciscan Friary Pottery in Brookfield. After ten years of creative wheel thrown table ceramics I travelled overseas and received personal tuition from Fine Ceramic Artists in Taos, New Mexico and Florence, Italy. When I returned to Australia I went on to work in Architectural ceramics producing handmade furniture, tiles, murals and public art installations.
“Brigitte Doering has been experimenting for more than 20 years with a wide range of different materials and medias like varnishes, wood stains, pigments and printing.
“Tony White is an Artist with a background in animation and marine biology. His work is rich in form and texture, creating a space of contemplation for the viewer. His artwork incites the imagination with promises of the movement in nature and the world around us.
Tony has exhibited his work since the late 90s and has had his work held in collections in Europe, Canada and Australia.”[1].

“Debaran Wright describes her art as the diary of her life. Her work has been exhibited throughout the region and is held in private collections locally and abroad. Experimenting with a range of material to create her layered and textured works Debaran uses ink, aluminium and bitumen in her artwork.
“Maki Horanai’s art is evocative and serene, conjuring images of the small villages by the seaside where Make was raised. Her breathtaking work draws upon the beauty of nature and gives the viewer a sense of magical realism. Maki’s paintings have gained a following since she moved to Queensland from Japan in 2005. Her work has now been exhibited all over the world and she regularly exhibits in her own gallery and studio space, Mountain Dreams.”[1]
Susan Capan, owner and resident artist of Capanart Gallery, has been painting and drawing all her life. She is mostly self taught, an award winner, private art teacher and guest show judge. Her subject range is varied, although portraiture predominates and customers are amazed at the range of subjects she does paint.
Her studio is at the rear of her gallery on beautiful Mt. Tamborine in Queensland’s, Gold Coast Hinterland, Australia, where she finds plenty of inspiration to paint. Susan is frequently commissioned to paint portraits and is also creating more abstract works in unique styles full of energy and colour.
